Post-Soviet Kitchen Environment
This is still a work in progress, but I decided to share it anyway—let’s call this "part one."
Currently, I'm working on a small, proof-of-concept narrative game called "Unlooped," which partially takes place in a post-Soviet apartment. I aimed to create an ambiguous setting, both in location and time, opting for an '80s aesthetic. While I've modeled all the basic assets for the game, I'm now focusing on populating the rooms to make them feel lived-in.
The character you inhabit is a disgraced scientist working on a mysterious project. Without spoiling too much, I'm designing the environment to reflect someone who doesn't prioritize cleanliness, likely washing dishes only when absolutely necessary.
I've completed the countertop section, aiming for a messy, but not abandoned, look. It's not finished yet, but I'm pleased with the progress so far!
For this project, I’m reusing assets I made for a kitchen render a few years ago (see the last image).
