Conceptual Environment Visualization (2017)
I moved to Berlin in 2017 and was super lucky to land this project as a collaboration with Sinnwerkstatt.
To this day, it's one of the best working experiences I’ve had. The blend of creativity and teamwork made it truly unforgettable.
About the 3D render itself, it was interesting to combine 3D rendering on my crappy laptop with some matte painting techniques. I’m posting both the raw render and the final project!
For this piece, I painted in all the stores, the store signs, the people, and the vegetation. It was a meticulous process, but seeing the scene come to life was incredibly rewarding.
Looking back, I’d probably color-match it even better. Honestly, if I were to redo this project today, I would do 100% of it in 3D!
The tools I used were 3Ds Max for the 3D modeling and Photoshop for the post-processing.
The challenge of blending 3D elements with matte painting techniques taught me a lot about composition, lighting, and texture.
This project was a turning point in my career, solidifying my love for creating immersive environments.
It's projects like these that remind me why I chose this path and keep me excited for future opportunities.
